Amos W. Ortman

Amos enjoyed watching Nascar races and the Washington Redskins-Commanders.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. Columbia PA.

Amos W. Ortman, 69 of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Amos R. and Mary Winkle Ortman.

Amos retired from Yellow Freight and the Pennsylvania National Guard and also served in the U.S Army during the Vietnam War. Amos enjoyed watching Nascar races and the Washington Redskins-Commanders.

Surviving is his wife, Cynthia Holland Ortman; sons, Scott M. Ortman; Amos W. Ortman; three grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Boyles (late Ronnie); Patricia Sholly (Gerald) and Catherine Rideaux.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. Columbia PA. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, SEPTEMBER 28, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Foresters of America, 201 Locust St. Columbia PA. In leui of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care at www.hospiceandcommunitycare.org.
