Amy Jo Bigelow

She loved collecting turtles, anything with butterflies, the color green, and taking care and raising her chickens.

There will be no formal services for Amy and she will be laid to rest with her father at a later date

 

Amy Jo Bigelow, 45, of Mount Joy passed away after a sudden medical emergency on November 1, 2024. She was born in Huntingdon to the late John C. Bigelow and late Thelma Dixon and lived most of her life in this area.

Amy attended Manheim Central High School and had worked with Effluent Retrieval for seventeen years. She loved collecting turtles, anything with butterflies, the color green, and taking care and raising her chickens. Amy was a loving sister and aunt who adored her family and treasured spending time with them.

Amy leaves behind her sister, Sherry, wife of the late Michael Wanner of Mount Joy; her nephew, Jim, husband of Kailynn Bigelow of Elizabethtown; her favorite grandnephew, Callum “Doodle” Bigelow of Elizabethtown; her longtime friend, Ron Miller and his granddaughter Chloe of Mount Joy. She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no formal services for Amy and she will be laid to rest with her father at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Amy’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
