David L. Heffner

After Dave became ill, he loved sitting on his back deck on a sunny day with the company of family and friends.

A graveside service will be held for Dave at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023 at St. Luke Lutheran Church Cemetery, 2666 Furnace Rd, Felton, PA 17322.

 

David Leon Heffner, 68, of Wrightsville passed away on November 13, 2023. He was born in York to Betty and the late Alvin (Jack) Heffner.

Dave was a graduate of Red Lion High School with the Class of 1972. In his younger years he was a hunter and fisherman who loved visiting the mountains. He was also active in Boy Scouts with Troop 42. Dave worked for many years with Harley Davidson until his eventual retirement. He and his wife enjoyed spending time with their son, Nate, by attending “steamups”, which were meetups to ride and operate miniature steam engines. Dave and Nate also enjoyed helping each other with various projects in their workshop. After Dave became ill, he loved sitting on his back deck on a sunny day with the company of family and friends.

Dave leaves behind his wife of forty-one years Sherryl Heffner of Wrightsville; his son, Nate Heffner of Wrightsville; his mother, Betty Heffner of Brogue; two siblings, Scott, husband of Jeanne Heffner of Brogue, Lori, wife of Kent Heffner of Brogue; a sister-in-law, Pat Heffner of York; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother Steven Heffner.

A graveside service will be held for Dave at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023 at St. Luke Lutheran Church Cemetery, 2666 Furnace Rd, Felton, PA 17322. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Dr, Lancaster, PA 17601
