Dorothy M. "Dottie" Frane

Dottie’s favorite things were collecting owl and squirrel statues, feeding the squirrels, taking walks, meeting new people, reading books, and putting together puzzles

Dottie will be laid to rest in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia.

Dorothy M. “Dottie” Frane, nee Yost, went to heaven. She left behind her chosen family: Josephine C. Shade, her friend of 56 years and almost daughter, Johnny Johns her best friend, and her almost grandchildren, Raymond J. Shade, Jr. and wife Virginia, Angela Shade and husband Luke Theriault, Daniel P. Shade and wife Maria. Dottie also leaves behind the angels who befriended and cared for her through her final days, Jaqueline Cross and Kathryn Hojnacki. Her additional angels are Nikki “Misty” Young, Sherri Crouse, and Jackie McFadden.

Dottie was preceded in death by her three children, Cathy Frane, Ronald Frane, and Robin M. Frane. She is survived by her son Robert Frane and daughter Linda Frane. Dottie is also survived by her granddaughter Patricia Jo Frane and several other grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her one sister, Alice Eisenhauser, two brothers, Paul “Skip” Yost and John “Jack” Yost.

Dottie will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, she requests donations be made to Pet Pantry of Lancaster County, 26 Millersville Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603.

Dottie was loved by many. She will be missed by all.
