Gloria J. Conant

Her passion was for crochet in which she made numerous commodities for family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held February 10, 2024 at Columbia Christian Fellowship, 1290 A Prospect Rd, Columbia, Pa 17512.

The family will be receiving guests at 10:00 am for a time of fellowship and 11:00 am for a service to follow.

 

Gloria J. Conant 82, of Lancaster, PA, went to be with her Lord on January 13, 2024 surrounded by family. Born in Edwards NY, she was the daughter of the late Charlie E.  Coloney and Dorothy V. Averill Coloney of Edwards NY. Gloria was a professed Christian and had attended Columbia Christian Fellowship and Breakout Ministries.

She graduated from Edwards Highschool in Edwards, NY. She was nominated for the Queen of the Gouverneur County Fair during her graduating year in 1959.

She retired from Turkey Hill Minute Market Offices. During her life, she enjoyed sewing, embroidery, knitting, and made various other crafts. Her passion was for crochet in which she made numerous commodities for family and friends.

 

She is predeceased in death by her late husband Harvey H. Conant and siblings Carol A. Mcclung, wife of the late Robert Mcclung, a brother, David M. Coloney, a nephew, Nathan Mcclung , son in law John "Ray" Kauffman, and a great grandchild Kolby R. Warfel. She is survived by siblings Charles E Coloney, husband of Joanne Gibbs Coloney of Watertown, NY and Barbara J Stewert of Schenectady, NY. She is also survived by her children, Harvey H Conant "Sonny", husband of Donna Bianca Conant of York, Chriss A Conant, husband of Lori Graham Conant of Elizabethtown, Dawn M Kauffman wife of the late John "Ray " Kauffman of Washington Boro, Dianne L. Peters of Washington Boro, Deborah J. Fry, wife of Mathew S. Fry of York and Melanie J. Parmer, wife of Grant M. Parmer of Cooper, ME. 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and her beloved cat, Bell Jenkins of Cooper, Me.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held February 10, 2024 at Columbia Christian Fellowship, 1290 A Prospect Rd, Columbia, Pa 17512 with Paster Hub Smith officiating. The family will be receiving guests at 10:00 am for a time of fellowship and 11:00 am for a service to follow. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in memory to the American Lung Association.
