She was active well into her nineties playing tennis, swim aerobics and participating in many of the activities in her community at St. Anne's.

Interment in Silver Spring Cemetery.

Jean K. Crist, 100 of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at St. Anne's Retirement Community where she had resided for the past year. She was the wife of the late Edward N. "Ned" Crist with whom she was married 52 years until his death in 1997.

A graduate of Columbia High School, Class of 1940, she was a lifelong member of the Columbia U.M. Church. Jean volunteered for various local organizations including the Columbia Meals on Wheels. She was active well into her nineties playing tennis, swim aerobics and participating in many of the activities in her community at St. Anne's.

Jean's family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff at St. Anne's for the excellent care afforded to her this past year.

Surviving are her daughters, Patricia C. wife of the late Gerald Beck; Kay L. wife of Charles "Chip" Beaston; Terry J. wife of the late Willam H. Hougendobler; six grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter H. Keiper.

Funeral services will be held at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Grubbs, officiating. Interment in Silver Spring Cemetery. Family and friends may view one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Columbia Meals on Wheels, PO Box 391, Columbia, PA 17512.
