John F. Troutman

He loved reading his bible and was of the Lutheran faith.

Services for John will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003.

 

John F. Troutman, 82, of Columbia passed away on November 12, 2024. He was born in Columbia to the late Edward, Sr. and Dorothy Hilliar Troutman and was a lifelong resident of this area.

John was a graduate of Columbia High School with the Class of 1961 and proudly served in the United States Air Force. Following his service, he worked with the former ITT Grinnell and Thompson Equipment Company until his eventual retirement. John was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who adored his family and treasured spending time with them. He loved reading his bible and was of the Lutheran faith.

John leaves behind his daughter, Heather Troutman-Smith of Dallastown; four grandchildren, Meaghan Smith, fiancé of Michael Baello of California, Logan Teipel of Dallastown, Luke Teipel of Dallastown, Keegan Teipel of Dallastown; a brother, David, husband of Darlene Troutman of Columbia; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Edward Troutman, Jr., Robert Troutman, Larry Troutman, and Eileen Rupp.

Services for John will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 655 S. 10th St, Columbia, PA 17512.
