Pam was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, and sister who adored her family.

A Celebration of Pam’s life will be held at a later date and will be announced by her family.

Pamela Elizabeth Caplinger, 45, of York passed away on June 9th, 2020. She was born in Columbia to Paula Duke and the late John David Markley, Jr. Pam was a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences and worked as a nurse for more than twenty years. Pam was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, and sister who adored her family.

Pam leaves behind her husband of 28 years, Tod Caplinger of York; three children, Katie Caplinger of Robesonia, Kayne Caplinger of Savannah, GA, Seth Caplinger of York; her grandson, Jael; her mother, Paula Duke of Columbia; Grandmother, Helen E. Fry of Maytown; four siblings, Melissa, wife of Mark Pickel of Hanover, John, III husband of Renea Markley of Rheems, Lori, wife of Charles Winders, Jr. of Marietta, Michelle, wife of Kenneth Hunger, Jr. of Marietta; numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandfather, Paul Fry; two children, Jael Caplinger and Ariel Bradley.

A Celebration of Pam’s life will be held at a later date and will be announced by her family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Columbia Animal Shelter, 265 S. 10th St, Columbia, PA 17512.
