Rita J. Keys Horn

A parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and was a past President of the Holy Trinity Mother's Club.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Thursday, 1/4/24 at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may view at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Wednesday evening, 1/3/24 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The recitation of the Rosary will begin at 7:45 p.m.

 

Rita J. Keys Horn, 95, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at St. Anne's Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late Richard "Dick" Horn with whom she celebrated 75 years of marriage on May 10th, 2022. A lifelong Columbia resident, she was the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Bertha L. Staab Keys.

Rita graduated from the former St. Peter's Catholic School and was Salutatorian of her graduating class at the former St. Joseph's Academy, both of Columbia. She was employed at the former Marietta Depot, Hinkle's Pharmacy and ultimately worked at the former Columbia News when she left the workforce to be at home with her children. She returned to work once they were grown and retired from the dental office of Dr. William Korman and Dr. Richard J. Wroblewski in 1990.

A parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and was a past President of the Holy Trinity Mother's Club. She was also a member of the AARP and the Auxiliary of St. Anne's Retirement Community.

Preceded in death by her husband Dick, Rita is survived by their children, Christine H. wife of Donald L. Sylvester; Joanne H. wife of John "Bot" Roda; David R. husband of Cherie (Hart) Horn; Barbara L. wife of Kyle DiBrito; grandchildren, Katharine L. Roda, Zachary B. Roda and partner Veronica Jancuk, Sandy (DiBrito) wife of Bryan Delahunty, Marcus DiBrito and wife Michelle; and great grandson, Luka Delahunty. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Pauline Waller, Leona "Pat" Yeager and Marie Bartch.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Thursday, 1/4/24 at 11:00 a.m. with her nephew Rev. John P. Horn S.J., as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. Friends may view at the Clyde W.
