A funeral service for Sam will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 18, 2023 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home in Columbia. There will be a viewing beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Garden.

Samuel Martin Zink, Sr., 72 years of age, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 10, 2023 at 4:00 PM. Also known as Sam or Bo, he was a lifelong resident of Columbia. Born on November 25, 1950 in Marietta, PA, he was the son of the late Elmer and Anna Zink. Sam retired from Donsco Incorporated and also worked at US Lock and Hardware. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

Sam is survived by his sister, Anna Mae Heiland; ex-wife, Gina Jackson; daughter, Jody Stephany; son, Samuel Zink, Jr; daughter, Jeanie Walker; daughter, Dorothy Zink; daughter, Crystal Muniz; son Jason (Mike) Zink; son, Richard Huber; 12 grandchildren: Michael, Samuel III, Kiersten, Sebastian, Ashley, Frederick, III, Skyler, Cosme, Andrew, Mariana, Keegin, Saige; 8 great grandchildren, Keith Jr., Shakira, Zander, Kingsley, Ayliciana, Ivan, Aizic, Jullian.

He was preceded in death by Elmer Zink, Ed Zink, James Zink, Richard Zink, Donald Zink, Johnny Zink, Mary Wilkerson, Dorothy Zink, Barry Zink, Raymond Zink, and Harry Zink.
