A celebration of Timothy’s life will be held at a later date & will be announced by his family.

Timothy Scott Murphy, Sr., 62, of Columbia passed away on April 19, 2022. He was born in Columbia to the late Kenneth, Sr. and Janet Byerly Murphy and was a lifelong resident of Columbia.

Timothy attended Columbia High School and proudly served in the United States Army. He was a self-employed carpenter by trade who loved the outdoors and being on the Susquehanna River. Timothy enjoyed Old Milwaukee and spending time with his family who will miss him for his sense of humor.

Timothy leaves behind his children, Michelle Harmon and Timothy Scott Murphy, Jr. both of Columbia; four grandchildren and one great grandchild; three sisters, Jeannette, wife of Mick Metzger of Potter County, Pam, wife of Russell Hanes, Sr. of Franklin County, Kelly, wife of Henry Brommer of Columbia; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Austin Murphy and two brothers, Kenneth Murphy, Jr. and Vincent Murphy, Sr.

A celebration of Timothy’s life will be held at a later date and will be announced by his family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation, in Timothy’s memory, to the charity of your choice.
