Violet Libhart 95, of Middleburg formerly of Columbia died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the Buffalo Valley Nursing Home where she had resided for the past three years. She was the wife of the late James C. Libhart, Sr. with whom she was married 56 years until his death in 2002. She was born in York County to the late Frank and Edna Nace Reuter.

A member of the Kinderhook E.C Church, she retired from Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village after 20 years of service where she was employed in the housekeeping department. Violet was very family oriented and enjoyed the company of her sisters shopping, traveling, and playing cards on a regular basis.

Surviving Violet are her daughters, Sharon wife of Dennis Morris; Linda wife of Ivan Varner; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; sisters, Irene Engle and Shirley Roberts also survive.  Her son, James C. Libhart, Jr., brothers, George and Paul Reuter and sisters, Jean Siegrist, Edna Hosfeld, Margaret Mowrer preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. (viewing 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.) from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. Columbia PA 17512. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions in Violet’s memory may be made to the Kinderhook E.C. Church, 560 Kinderhook Road Columbia PA 17512.
