Survivors include 3 daughters, 3 sons, 2 sisters, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Howard (Gene) Clinton, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Jennie retired from ITT Grinnell and also worked for BJ's for 18 plus years.
She will be sadly and greatly missed by her family and friends.

Dorothy A. “Dee” Marello, 71 of Landisville passed away on March 9th, 2020. She was born in Reading to the late George and Lola (Pirone) Posey and had lived in Lancaster County for the past twenty years.

Dee enjoyed visiting the beach and loved traveling out West. She treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dee was a faithful member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.

Dee leaves behind her daughters, Kimberly Pugliese, companion of Greg Boyer of Reading, Kelly Jones of Wilkes-Barre; three grandchildren, Anthony Wasko of Wilkes-Barre, Cody Pugliese of Kutztown, Amanda Wasko of Richland; two great grandchildren, Ryan Marello and Remington Lawrence; three sisters, Alberta Spehar of Wyomissing, Georgene Posey of Denver, Mary Jane Posey of Ephrata.

Alfons Josef Raschke (83) of Lancaster passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Hospice & Community Care surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Aachen, Germany, he was the son of the late Josef and Katherine (Freialdenhofen) Raschke. Alfons "Al" was the husband of Mary Anne (Mathiot) Raschke with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage this past May.

A current member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lancaster, Alfons originally attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Columbia, PA where he lived after moving to the U.S. at age 14. Alfons also served in the National Guard from 1960 to 1966. He graduated from Millersville State College in 1967 with a degree in secondary education. After discovering that teaching was not his calling, he became an electrician and worked at Hamilton Watch (which became Bulova Technologies) for 30 years until his retirement in 1991.

Alfons was a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Guys and Dolls Club in Lancaster, an active sportsman, and enjoyed vacationing near Rehoboth Beach in Delaware.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: son, Matthew Raschke husband of Tanya (Miller); grandsons, Maximillian and Zachary of Mountain View, California; and daughter, Mary Elizabeth Nikolaus wife of John Nikolaus; grandson, John, Jr. and granddaughter, Faith of Columbia and his brother-in-law, Joseph Mathiot husband of Janet (Adams). He was preceded in death by his 3 older sisters, Mary Bottstein, Kornelia Eder, and Bernadine Gable.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry Street, Columbia, PA 17512 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Stephen P. Kelley as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received at the church before the service starting at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph New Catholic Cemetery in Lancaster.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of almost 55 years Ruthann Watson in 2017 and his brother Jacob Watson in 2018.

Beverly graduated from Columbia High School and was employed with Cornerstone Operations Group. She enjoyed playing bingo with her cousins and was a faithful member of Lititz Moravian Congregation.

Beverly leaves behind her cousins, Carolyn Dancause of Columbia, Shirley Smith of Mountville; her aunt, Amy Sheirich of Columbia; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis R. Kimmich, Jr.

During her life, Doris worked in various area sewing and shoe factories. She had a passion for horses and horseback riding along with gardening.

Surviving are her children, Diana wife of Mark Mitsel; Debra wife of Joel Schelling; John H. Jr. husband of Sophia Sims; Frank H. Sims; Maryellen Moore; Sherri Lynn Sims; stepchildren, Cynthia wife of Michael Seiple; Edward H. Fisher, Jr.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Victor H. Jr. husband of Dorothy Martzall; sisters, Maryellen Wood and Victoria Plasterer. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria and Helen.

Grace received dual master’s degrees from Towson State University and taught in Baltimore County Schools before finishing her teaching career at Holy Trinity Catholic School, now known as Our Lady of the Angels Catholic School located in Columbia. For many years she owned her shop, Needle’s Eye Yarns and Crafts and was a nationally recognized teddy bear maker with exhibits at the State House in Harrisburg.
Grace leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Richard Lefler of Columbia; her daughter, Hannah, wife of Charles Maney of Mount Pleasant, MI; two grandchildren, Clayton and Cara Maney; great grandchild, Esmes Maney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marie Baker; her sister, Helen Jones.

Celebration of Life: Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10:30 AM from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home

Robert Franklin Walther passed away February 23, 2020, at Hospice & Community Care surrounded by his loving family. Bob would have celebrated his 96th birthday on February 24th.

Born in Elmira, NY, he was the son of the late Frank H. and Margaret Reid Walther. He is survived by longtime companion, Patricia Saam of Lancaster; son, Robert M. Walther of Wrightsville; and daughter Kim Gohn wife of George of Columbia. Also surviving are two grandsons, Jason husband of Stephanie Erney and Dustin husband of Sherry Erney, four great-grandchildren, and a brother, Frank Walther, Jr. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Walther Haberstroh and Christine Walther Bucher.

Robert was a graduate of Columbia High School Class of 1942. He enlisted in the Navy in his senior year and served as a Corpsman with the Marines in the Pacific Theater. Bob was awarded the Bronze Star and typical of the Greatest Generation, he never mentioned this recognition until years later when the family learned of the award. After WWII Bob attended Bloomsburg State Teachers College (Bloomsburg University) obtaining a degree in History and taught at Columbia High School for several years. In 1950, he accepted a position at WGAL TV, eventually becoming Production Manager. He was inducted into the WGAL TV Hall of Fame in 2019.

Bob enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and was an avid Penn State fan. An outstanding athlete in both high school and college, he was inducted into the 2013 Susquehanna Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. He was a lifelong member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge #286 as well as the Columbia United Methodist Church. Bob loved spending time with his family and friends at his home along the Susquehanna.

A Life Celebration for Bob will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10:30 AM from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut Street, Columbia, PA with Reverend Thomas Grubbs, officiating. He enjoyed Susquehanna riverfront hikes, visiting North Carolina and Florida beaches with family, and the mountains of Potter County. Eddie also liked to go antiquing and visiting yard sales. He loved animals, especially dogs.

Eddie leaves behind his mother, Dollie McKain of Columbia; six siblings, Steve McKain of Lancaster, Deb, wife of Dale Zimmerman of Mount Joy, Bobby, husband of Cathy McKain of Elizabethtown, twin sister – Sharon, wife of Bob Vickers of Pequea, Jim McKain of Columbia, Barb McKain of Columbia; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family. A graduate of Penn Manor High School, Class of 1979, Tami was a volunteer with the Hands Across the Street program in Columbia, enjoyed the polar plunges at the Susquehanna River, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She also loved being in the company of her family, particularly her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents are her daughters, Amberlee Wagner (Travis); Brittany Trimble (Randy Cooper); six grandchildren; sister, Robin Shover (William) and brother Michael Trimble (Justy).

Catherine worked for Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories where she was a machine inspector and trainer. She absolutely loved her job and retired after 23 years. Catherine was a people person who never met a stranger and always put others first. She enjoyed baking and made all of her cakes from scratch. Catherine was a God-fearing woman and member of Ashley Tabernacle in Columbia.

Isaac “Bud” Harlan Miller, 82, of Columbia passed away on February 18th, 2020. He was born in Lost River, WV to the late Hazel Miller and had lived in the area for many years. Bud worked in farming and printing which he retired from. He then worked at the Turkey Hill Dairy until his final retirement. Bud was a Scout Master for many years of Pack 151. He enjoyed public sales and loved all animals.

She retired from Lancaster General Hospital in the Transcription department where she was employed for 40 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Surviving are 2 sons: Mike husband of Tia Misel of Columbia, PA and Matthew husband of Jessica Misel of Lancaster, PA. Also surviving is a sister: Karen wife of Dennis Fischer of Columbia, PA and a brother: Joseph husband of Cindy Geesey of Lititz, PA, and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister: Judy Heisey.

Barbara C. Obin, 79, of Columbia, PA, formerly of York and Downingtown, passed away on February, 3, 2020 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Andrew S. Obin, Jr. whom she married on June 16, 1962. Born in her home in Haddon Heights, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Dr. John and Bertha Volk Canal.

A graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Nursing, Barb worked as a registered nurse in private practice medicine for many years. After retirement, she was employed as a seamstress by the Perform Group in East Prospect, PA. She was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Columbia and a lay member of Our Lady's Missionaries of the Eucharist.

Barb loved being outdoors, enjoying nature, sports, and fishing. Also, she enjoyed playing the flute and was a member of the West Chester Alumni Band. She will be remembered for her strong dedication to family and prayer. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.

She is survived by her husband Andy, their daughter, Michele Obin; their son, Jeffrey, husband of Gina Marie Obin; grandsons, Gregory and Anthony Obin; brother, John, husband of Elizabeth Canal.

Joanne was a devoted member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Columbia, PA.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Monday, February 10, 2020 at 12:00 p.m., St. Peter Catholic Church, Columbia.

Elizabeth Joanne Shillow, 89, entered into rest on February 5th, 2020 after a brief illness at Masonic Village where she resided for the past six years. Born in Marietta, Pennsylvania, “Joanne” was the daughter of the late John Anthony Shillow and Sarah Elizabeth Hook Shillow.

After her graduation from Columbia High School, “Joanne” was employed by the Marietta Depot for over ten years, followed by employment as a teller at Dauphin Deposit Bank and Trust Company, and ending with a secretarial position at Wyeth Labs. Joanne was a devoted member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Columbia, PA.

Joanne is survived by two brothers: Joseph, married to Marie Dinkel Shillow; Patrick, married to Sandra Shillow; and sister-in-law, Mary Anne Fischer Shillow. She was preceded in death by the following brothers: John, James, and Edward; her sisters, Mary Shillow Carmichael and Margaret Shillow Elliot. Joanne will be lovingly missed by her 19 surviving nieces and nephews who she loved as her own children. The family would like to thank the staff at Masonic Village for the kind and compassionate care they provided her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10th, 2020 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 121 S. 2nd St, Columbia, PA 17512. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, February 9th, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St, Columbia, PA 17512, and also one hour prior to Mass at the church. She will be laid to rest at St. Peter Cemetery. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Friday, February 21, 2020 from 6-:800 p.m., Oregon Dairy, Lititz.

Betty Lou Houck, 76, of Marietta, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at home. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Henrietta Joe Hershey.

A seamstress for decades in the Paradise, Lancaster County area, Betty was employed at QVC for the past 20 years where she worked in inventory control. She will be remembered as a generous and caring person, who enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling, especially to points out west with Branson, MO one of her favorites. She also was an avid Lancaster Barnstormers fan.

Betty is survived by two sons: Norman L. Houck, Pensacola, FL; Raymond E. Houck, Narvon; grand dog, "Mack"; sisters, Nancy E. wife of Richard Grossman, Ronks and Raynea, wife of Jeffrey Whitehead, Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan F. Semple.

A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the banquet room of the Oregon Dairy, 2900 Oregon Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions to the Lancaster Literacy Council or to the Humane league of Lancaster County.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., Columbia United Methodist Church

Robert L. Williams, 90, of Columbia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. He was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Freeland) Williams, with whom he was married 62 years until her death in 2016. Born in Shenandoah Heights, Schuylkill County, he was the son of the late Robert Peel and Mable Carmitchell Williams.

Along with his brother, Charles, he was part of a second generation to own and operate the former R.P. Williams and Sons, Inc. for 67 years. Bob was an active and devoted member of the Columbia United Methodist Church; served as a Lay Leader of the church for 15 years; head of the Youth Department for 34 years; sang in the church choir and was active in the Christ Servant Ministry. In addition, Bob served on the Administration Board and the Pastor Parish Relations Committee.

An active member of the Free and Accepted Masons for 70 years, he was the oldest member of the Columbia Blue Lodge, oldest High Priest of the Chapter, Commander of the Commandery, and member of the Zembo Shrine.

He is survived by his sons, Mark, husband of Pamela (Wilt) Williams; John, husband of Marie (Lutz) Williams; grandsons, Gregory, John; granddaughters, Amy, Lauren, Renee; great-granddaughters, Tella, Emme, Lulu, Lila, and Grace. His brother, Charles ‘Chuck" husband of Ruth Ann (Vogt) Williams, also survives. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Williams.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Columbia United Methodist Church, 510 Walnut St., Columbia, PA 17512. Burial will follow in Mount Bethel Cemetery. Friends may view at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Kindly omit flowers.
