A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Friday, November 29th from 10:00 a.m
Robert T. Rigel, 88, of York passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 24th, 2019. He was born in Manchester Township and raised by the late Lloyd and Cornelia Rigel. Robert attended and graduated from Columbia High School and worked for York International for 37 years. He was a mechanical designer and a driving force in their computer generating software. Robert was a family man who treasured spending time with them. He was also an artist whose creativity was in his woodworking, book writing, and cartoon drawings.
Robert leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Kay Rigel of York; their children, Bob Rigel, companion of Rose Hayes of York and Red Lion, Pam, wife of Chris Kennedy of Apex, NC, Doug, husband of Diane Rigel of York; five grandchildren, Leah, Lonna wife of Clay, Keela, Cory, Laine; two great grandchildren, George and Henry.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon with a family time of sharing at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November, 29th, 2019 at the Clyde W. Harry James Simpson, Sr, 76 of Columbia, PA passed away on November 9th, 2019. He was born in Camden, NJ to the late Harry P. and Margaret (Hiles) Simpson.
Harry was a 1963 graduate of Clayton High School, Clayton, New Jersey. Harry earned a degree from the Culinary School of Atlantic County and went on to share his baking expertise with multiple bakeries in many groceries throughout the country, most recently at the local Giant at Stone Mill Plaza in Lancaster PA. He enjoyed visiting the California redwood trees, the beach and treasured baking with his grand & great-grandchildren.
Harry leaves behind his wife of almost 56 years, Gerri (Fitzpatrick) Simpson of Columbia; four sons, Harry Jr, husband of Carole Simpson of Clayton, NJ, Tim Simpson of York, PA, Mike, husband of Anne Simpson of Stockton, CA, and Doug, husband of Amy Simpson of Oak Grove, MO; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Ronald J. Brubaker, 70 and Marilyn M. Brubaker, 70, husband and wife, died together of natural causes at their residence in Columbia, PA on November 18, 2019.
Ron was born in Columbia, PA on September 27, 1949 a son of the late Robert and Elva Krow Brubaker. He retired from ITT Engineering and Valve Co. He was a 50 year member of the Chickies Rock Lodge Loyal Order of the Moose. He coached the Moose Braves baseball team from 1972–1976. He was a Columbia High School Graduate Class of 1968.
He is survived by a Brother, Gary husband of Denise (Meisenbach) Brubaker of Columbia. He is also survived by Siblings: Robert, Pat and Suzanne. He was predeceased by a Brother, George Krow.
Marilyn was born in Columbia, PA on December 10, 1948 a daughter of the late Earl C. and Doris Martin Hess.
Marilyn was raised by her grandparents George and Elva Martin. She was last employed in the sewing industry. She was also a member of the Chickies Rock Lodge Loyal Order of the Moose. Marilyn was an avid sports fan especially for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Surviving are Sisters: Sarah wife of Paul Kays and Brenda Mabee both of Arizona; Linda Nevison of Wisconsin; Rosalie Nystrand and June Steele both of New Jersey; and a brother, Victor husband of Linda Hess of North Carolina.

Margaret B. Von Stetten, 94, of the Willow Valley Community, went to be with her Lord on November 9, 2019. She was the loving wife of the late Wayne Von Stetten to whom she was married 70 years until his death in 2018. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Evard P. and Emma Cleland Best.
Wherever she lived, she was very active in her church community. Margaret loved Christmas and family gatherings. She was happy to enjoy 30 years of traveling with her late husband Wayne after his retirement.
Margaret is survived by her devoted family, Wayne II (Debbie); James (Reenie); Eileen Gale, (wife of the late Christopher) Richard (Annette); 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Best (Nan) and Evard Best (Beverly).

Gene B. “Bernie” Weiksner, 88, passed away at Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Home on November 15, 2019. He was a 62 year resident of East Petersburg prior to moving to Mount Hope. Bernie was born in Altoona, PA to the late James F. & Pauline Weiksner, Sr. He was the loving husband of Pauline Weiksner who passed away December 30, 2018. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Weiksner, Jr. and Donald Weiksner. Bernie is survived by his children, Stephen, husband of Nada Weiksner of Marietta, Sheryl, wife of Carl Gehman of Ronks; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman from 1951-1955 and was a Korean War Veteran having served on the U.S.S. Philippine Sea and at the Naval Communications Station on the Island of Guam. Bernie retired from Federal Mogul in 1993 after 19 years as a Production Scheduler. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Landisville and the East Petersburg Fire Company.
After retirement Bernie spent as much time as possible with his grandchildren, cheering them on at sporting events, dance recitals and concerts. He loved to build things with them from Model cars to bird houses, take them to the pool and spend vacations at Bethany Beach jumping waves with them. The birds and stray cats never went hungry at their house. Bernie loved football and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A graveside committal will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 22nd, 2019 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery where Bernie will be laid to rest with his wife Polly. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21st, 2019 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral home, 247 Main St, Landisville, PA 17538. Tom A. Albright, 41 of San Angelo, TX, passed away suddenly from a brief illness in the San Angelo Hospital on Monday, November 11, 2019. Born in Hershey, PA, he was the son of Duane and Charlene Albright of Columbia, PA. Tom was the loving husband of Melissa L. (Straka) Albright, with whom he celebrated 12 years of marriage on November 10, 2019. Tom was a 1996 graduate of Hempfield High School and a graduate of the Penn State University in May 2001 where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and International Business. While he attended Penn State, he did an internship with McNeil Co. which led him to be hired into the Financial Leadership Development Program of Johnson & Johnson Co. He then became a recruiter for the FLDP program. In 2003 he became a Certified Managerial Accountant and in 2004 became a Certified Financial Manager. He received his MBA in 2006 from Temple University. After graduating from college he was employed by Johnson & Johnson Co. joining them in 2001. He served in various positions in the Johnson & Johnson companies, most recently as Plant Controller for Ethicon, a J&J company in San Angelo, TX. His interests included Bowling in College for Penn State University team where he bowled a perfect 300 game, corn hole games, home Pool Volleyball, home poker games and traveling on vacations. He was an avid and passionate fan of all the Philadelphia teams and Penn State football. He was a member of the NRA and the Wounded Warrior Project. He was predeceased by his Grandparents, Wilbur Albright, Millie Albright, Dean and Jean Englehart, and aunt Diane Shireman. Tom would always light up a room with his smile and vibrant personality. Susan M. (Smith) Ruggieri, 57, of Roherstown, passed away on November 10, 2019. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late William F. Sr. and Anne Sulosky Smith.
Better known to her family and friends as Suzy, she graduated from Manheim Central High School, Class of 1980 and was an animal lover having several rescue dogs in her care at any giving time. In addition, she was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Columbia.
Suzy is survived by her brothers, William F. Smith, Jr.; Joseph R. husband of Amy Smith; three nephews, William F. III, Alexander and Nathan Smith. She was preceded in death by her sister, Roberta Ann Budesheim.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen P. Kelley, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass. Raymond V. Broome, III of Lancaster passed away on November 7th, 2019. He was born in Columbia to the late Raymond, II and Ruth Kline Broome and was a lifelong resident of this area.
Raymond was a graduate of Columbia High School with the Class of 1969. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and worked for many years at Armstrong Flooring before his retirement.
Raymond leaves behind his brother, Jacob McCollum of Columbia; two sisters, Beverly McCollum of Columbia, Wendy Keesey of Elizabethtown; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary Katherine Broome in 2015 and two siblings, Marie and John McCollum.
Services for Raymond will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St, Columbia, PA 17512. Florence Elizabeth Ohrel, 94, of Columbia passed away on November 7th, 2019. She was born in Columbia to the late John and Goldie McCumsey and was a lifelong resident of this area.
Florence attended Columbia High School. She worked for many years at the Rising Sun Hotel in Columbia and later worked at Moveable Feast. Florence loved her family.
Florence leaves behind her sons, Eggie, husband of Donna and George, husband of Karen Ohrel both of Columbia; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; a large extended family.

Joseph Allen Hamer, Jr, 34, of Windsor passed away on November 5th, 2019. He was born in Lancaster to Joseph Allen Hamer, Sr. and Kathleen Steinbaecher. Joe was a graduate of Donegal High School with the Class of 2003 and had been employed as a truck driver with Prime Inc. He loved music. He was a musician and sang and played in several bands in the local area throughout the recent years. Joe had a larger than life personality, a witty sense of humor, and a 1000-watt smile.
Joe leaves behind his father, Joe Hamer, Sr. of Windsor; his mother, Kathy, wife of Scott Steinbaecher of Wrightsville; his siblings, Jeremy Hamer of Windsor, Devon Steinbaecher of Cleveland, OH, Olivia Looks of Elizabethtown; four nephews, L.J. Hamer, Jaxon Benner, Weston Benner, Landon Benner; his maternal grandparents, Regina and Robert Sherick of Columbia; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Carolyn H. Anderson of Lititz, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jessel R. Anderson, Sr. with whom she was married 49 years until his death in 2017. Born in West Hempfield Township, she was the daughter of the late Paul B. and Arlene Brubaker Hollinger.
Carolyn retired after 28 years of service from the Warwick School District where she was employed as an administrative assistant. A member of Highland Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, she enjoyed reading, dancing, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Jessel R. Jr. husband of Amy Anderson, Pittsburgh and grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Evan. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Barry and Robert Hollinger.

Terry L. Donley, 60, 0f Elizabethtown, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Friday, November 1, 2019 at home. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Raymond N. Donley, Jr. and the stepson of the late Ruth Ann Pickell Donley.
He was employed as a material handler at Spartan Motors and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Brynn.
He is survived by his son, Terry L. Snavely and his wife Amy; granddaughters, Alyssa, Olivia, Brynn; siblings, Raymond N. Donley, III and his wife Linda; sisters, Sherry wife of Casey Stettler and Dawn wife of Ben Hoar; Aunt Mary Catherine Donley, husband of the late Harry E. Roberts, III and family. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Michael Donley.

Kenneth Blaine Severt, 71, of Washington Boro passed away at his residence. He was born in Hinton, WV to the late Blaine and Peggy Severt and attended Salenco High School. He worked for 15 years as the maintenance supervisor at Donsco before becoming the nighttime supervisor at the former ITT Grinnell and retired after 35 years. Kenneth was an outdoorsman and loved camping, fishing, and boating. He was a handy carpenter and rebuilt his own home and was also very proud of his yard.
Kenneth leaves behind his wife Qinfen Severt of Manheim Township; his children, Kenneth Severt, Jr. of Carlisle, Michelle Severt of Bainbridge; step-daughter, Dilun Wu of Manheim Township; two grandchildren; his siblings, Roger Severt of Columbia, Alen Severt of Winchester, VA, Patricia Pearson of Martinsburg, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Peggy Sue Rouche and John Severt.
Services for Kenneth will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home 519 Walnut St, Columbia, PA 17512. Charles F. "Choker" Hartman, 85, of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Homestead Village. He was the husband of Mary Phyllis Newcomer Schoelkoph Hartman with whom he was married 22 years and the late Suzanne Marshall Hartman who passed in 1966. A lifelong Columbia resident, he was the son of the late William and Catherine Reitschy Hartman.
Charlie was a graduate of Columbia High School, Class of 1952 and Millersville University, graduating in 1956. He taught math in both the Columbia and Solanco School Districts retiring after 36 years of service. During his tenure, he coached football and later advised the Chess Club.
A devoted member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Columbia, he served on the church council and finance board. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2294 and the B.P.O E # 1074, Columbia. He enjoyed travelling, watching the Eagles, Notre Dame football and rooting for the Phillies.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his and Suzanne's three children, Chuck, husband of Jill (Price) Hartman; George "Chip" Hartman; Julie, wife of Mark Livingston; stepdaughters, Phyliss Enochs; Georgia Masterson; Carolyn Best, Gretchen Mosteller; six grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; siblings, Marie Cremer; Francis, husband of Gloria Hartman; Jim, husband of Eileen Hartman; Robert Hartman and a host of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, William, Richard, Rose Mary and Loretta.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Homestead Village for the utmost care of their residents.

Kyle Patrick Sheehy, 29, of Baltimore and formerly of Columbia passed away on October 13th, 2019. He was born in New London, CT to Patrick Sheehy and Jackie Rhea and grew up in Columbia.
Kyle attended Columbia High School and was working in window manufacturing. He was a member of The Life Center in Essex, MD. Kyle loved the outdoors, spending time with his daughter, his family, and many friends.
Kyle leaves behind his daughter, Mia Dyson of Middletown, MD; Mia’s mother Amanda Dyson, of Middletown, MD; his father Patrick, husband of Bonita Sheehy of Live Oak, FL; his mother, Jackie, wife of Joe Rhea of Bluefield, WV; his sisters, Shannon Bartch of Lancaster, Lindsay Bartch of Wrightsville; his nephew Cole Waltemyer; nieces, Jennifer Thurman, Adrianna Waltemyer, and Kylah Bartch.

Wrightsville - Cody Allan Blymier, of Wrightsville, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in York, he was the son of Jerry Allan and Michelle Yohe Blymier.
He was very happy and enjoyed his time with his family and friends. He loved to watch Barney and friends on his TV. Cody also had two other pals, his dogs Nikki and MyMy. Most of his summers, he enjoyed going out on the Susquehanna River on his pontoon boat and hanging out at his Uncle's cabin. Cody also spent time at his day program (Pathways) with his friends and staff.
He touched the hearts of so many people that it's very hard to thank all that supported him.
Cody is survived by his parents, Jerry and Michelle and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be missed deeply by all his family and friends.

Elizabeth J. "Betty" McBride, 94, a lifelong Columbia resident, passed peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Luther Acres. She was the wife of the late Charles H. McBride with who preceded her in death in 1967 and was born to the late Lewis and Maria Keys Kauffman.
She is survived by her loving family, Karen, wife of James Miller; Steve, husband of Stephanie McBride; Charlene, wife of George Thomas; Glenda, wife of Steve Beach; Elizabeth, wife of John Decker; Laureen Sulivan; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lewis and Lamar Kauffman. She was preceded in death by her children, Charles Michael McBride, Beth Staner, Stephine McBride granddaughter, Michelle Jones and siblings, Joann Wise, Virginia Olsen, Mary Lou Hartman, Thelma Cremer and Patricia "Tish" Urban.
Betty was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Columbia and the Altar Rosary Society.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 121 S. Second St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Anthony Swamy, Celebrant. Burial will follow St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. There will be no viewing prior to the mass; however, family and friends may call at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m with the recitation of the Rosary beginning and 7:30 p.m.
