Jesse J. Johnson, 77, formerly of Columbia, PA and Fayette County, West Virginia, died on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018 at the Hamilton Arms Center in Lancaster, PA. Born in Summers County, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Jesse and Armeda Kirk Johnson. Jesse retired from the Maintenance department of the former Grinnell Corp. in Columbia. He was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Lancaster.
Surviving is a Son: James husband of Stephanie Johnson and a Daughter: Jodie wife of Earl Witherspoon both of Hellam, PA., 2 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 Sisters: Judith Lively and Florence "Pat" Bostic both of Columbia, PA. He was predeceased by a Daughter: Michelle LaRose.
Funeral Services for Jesse will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00AM (VIEWING: 10:00AM – 11:00AM) with Rev. Francis Flosser officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Wrightsville, PA. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial Contributions in Jesse's memory may be made to Faith Tabernacle Church, c/o of Rev. Melvin Flosser, 25 Corry Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601.
