Deborah J. Cannon

Deborah enjoyed music, going to Casinos, and was a huge fan of the New York Giants. Above all, she cherished her family.

Funeral services for Deborah will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home in Columbia with the Dr. Rev. Patricia McAllister officiating.

Deborah Jeanne Cannon, 70, of 16 North Fifth St., Columbia, PA, passed away on August 9, 2021 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the lifelong companion of Richard Poindexter who preceded her in death in 2005. Born in Columbia on January 14, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William G. Cannon and Annie R. Farley. 

Deborah was a graduate of Columbia High School and McCann School of Business in Scranton, PA, where she obtained her associates degree. She worked as a teacher's aide for Kinderhook Daycare and as a funeral attendant at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion AME Church in Columbia, PA. Jeanne was lively and loved to have fun in life. She enjoyed music, going to Casinos, and was a huge fan of the New York Giants. Above all, she cherished her family. 

Deborah is survived by her son, Terry Farley, boyfriend of Christina Sauls, of Alpharetta, GA; her granddaughter, Teanna Farley, of Boston, MA; her great granddaughter, Brooklyn Farley, of Boston, MA; her godson, Kurt Edmond; her sisters, Jochebet Farley and Terrie Edmond, both of Columbia, PA; her brother, Jeffrey Cannon, of Lancaster, PA; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by the following siblings: Melvin Cannon, Gardner Cannon, Charles Farley, Linda Farley, Catherine Jones, Walter Farley, Larry Farley, Michael Cannon, Anthony Cannon, Kevin Cannon, and Alex “Joe” Farley. 

Funeral services for Deborah will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home in Columbia with the Dr. Rev. Patricia McAllister officiating. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM-11:00A M. Interment will follow in Habecker's Mennonite Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Deborah’s memory may be made to Mt.
