A Visitation with the Family will be held at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut Street, Columbia, PA 17512 on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 6:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry Street, Columbia, PA 17512 on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Mitzel, Celebrant. PLEASE NOTE: There will be no visitation prior to the Mass.
Dennis W. Fisher, “Big Fish,” 75 of Columbia, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 8, 2024. Denny was the son of George H. and Jean (Arter) Fisher. He was the loving husband of Regina A. (Nikolaus) Fisher for 31 years.
Dennis graduated from Columbia High School in 1968. He was employed at Alcoa for 40 years. Denny joined Susquehanna Fire Co. #4 in 1981. He quickly became involved with being the Lieutenant of the Rescue, active with the hazmat team and running the Junior firefighter program. In his membership with the firehall he became Trustee and was very active with assisting the running of the Hambones Social Club. After completing his Trustee position, you could still always find him stopping by to talk to the firefighters on his way to the club.
Fish spent a lot of his time hunting, fishing and four wheeling. He enjoyed spending time in the woods with his boys. His involvement with the Dave Burke Memorial Horseshoe League became a yearly effort to raise money for his scholarship fund.
Denny will be dearly missed. He knew many different people and was a kind, generous man.
Along with his wife, Denny is survived by two sons, Jason S. Fisher and Dennis W. Fisher, II, “Big” (Jeannine) and a daughter, Brandi J. Abdelsalam (Alaa); 5 grandchildren: Karli, Joseph, Hannah wife of Levi Speicher, Isabella and Kohlson; 4 great grandchildren: Kastiel, Kyler, Kenzli and Khalissi and 2 siblings, Denise Walter and Dean Fisher.

A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Columbia Borough Fire Dept.
