Madeline Valentin, 49, of Columbia passed away on March 21, 2020. She was born in Rio Grande, PR to the late Nicholas and Higinia Ortiz Velasquez and grew up in Puerto Rico before moving to this area. For many years she worked many jobs, from bus driving to personal care assistant. Madeline was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister who treasured spending time with her family.
Madeline leaves behind her children, David, husband of Paige Perales of Columbia, Kervin Perales, and Ashley Perales; her granddaughter Charlotte Mae Perales; many siblings, nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.
A celebration of Madeline’s life will be held at a later date and will be announced by her family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Diabetes Association.
