Margaret “Peggy” Vail, 70, of Columbia passed away on her birthday March 20, 2024. She was born in Columbia to the late Richard and Margaret Stoutzenberger and was a lifelong resident of this area.
Peggy attended Columbia High School and was a painter with Donsco for a number of years. She enjoyed gardening and was a free spirit who adored her family and treasured spending time with them.
Peggy leaves behind two children, Chuck Waters, companion of Neda Churchwell of Hinesville, GA and Sherry Metzger, fiancé of Fuzz Witman of Wrightsville; six grandchildren, Amber, Kole, Athan, Arion, Elijah, and Emily; six great grandchildren and one on the way; four siblings.
There will be no formal services for Peggy and any future services will be announced by her family. In lieu of flowers, please perform an act of kindness for someone.
