Mary Ann Daly

Mary honorably served her country in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army as a registered nurse. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church

Mary Ann Daly, 83, of St. Anne’s Retirement Community passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Penn Medicine LGH. Born in Cumberland MD, she was the wife of Martin P. Daly, whom she married on February 19, 1966. She honorably served her country in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army as a registered nurse.  She was a Captain in the Army Nurse Corps where she met Martin in Honolulu, HI in 1965.  After raising her three children, she went back to work as a home healthcare nurse for 20 years before retiring with her husband.  

She is survived by her daughters Fayanne Hooning (John) of Evergreen, CO and Catherine Wimpsett (Wessley) of York, PA and by her son Joseph Daly (Mary Frances) of Alexandria, VA, as well as by her grandchildren Johnny and Jake Hooning and James, Henry, and William Daly. She is also survived by her siblings Tom Nally (Mary) of Springfield, VA, Linda Feldman of Gettysburg, PA, and Margaret George of Oak Harbor, WA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, located at 409 Cherry Street, Columbia, PA, with the Rev. Stephen P. Kelley as celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church 30 minutes prior to the Mass. (Livestream at https://www.facebook.com/htparish) Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Military Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA, at 12:15 p.m. Following interment, friends are welcome to a luncheon at Snitz Creek Brewery located at 1805 Fisher Avenue, Annville, PA.
