Ruth Smith Albright, 90, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on October 31st, 2018. She was born in Marietta to the late Elvin R. and Esther Straub Smith and was a lifelong resident of this area. Ruth was a selfless homemaker who sacrificed for helping others and supporting her home. She enjoyed listening to music that included singing and piano playing. Ruth loved reading the Bible and grew up a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marietta. Most recently she attended Ironville United Methodist Church.
Ruth leaves behind her children, Greg, husband of Sharon Albright of Lancaster, Patty, wife of the late Michael Peters of Marietta; a niece, Trudy Shirk of Elizabethtown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty three years, Richard C. Albright in 2006 and her brother Edward Smith.
Services for Ruth will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018 at Ironville United Methodist Church, 4020 Holly Dr, Columbia, PA 17512. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. She will be laid to rest by her late husband in a private burial. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Ironville United Methodist Church or Grane Hospice, 1200 Camp Hill Bypass, Suite 205, Camp Hill, PA 17011. Arrangements by the Clyde W.
