Titus Burkholder Stoner
Titus loved hunting, fishing, and music as he was a guitar player.
Visitation will also be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 247 Main Street, Landisville, PA 17538.
Services for Titus will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Landisville Mennonite Church, 3320 Bowman Rd, Landisville, PA 17538. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Titus B. Stoner, 97, of Landisville passed away on November 19, 2024. He was born in Ephrata Township to the late Alvan and Sadie Burkholder Stoner and was a lifelong resident of this area.
Titus was a dairy farmer who was good at his job and enjoyed it. He also enjoyed having the Fresh Air Children visit and work the farm. Titus gave back to his community through volunteering. Whether it was through working at the Mount Joy Gift and Thrift, helping at the former Mennonite Home (Trillium), or knitting hats and donating them. Titus loved hunting, fishing, and music as he was a guitar player.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, brother, and uncle who adored his family and treasured spending time with them. Titus was a faithful member of Marietta Mennonite Church.
Titus leaves behind his wife, with whom he celebrated seventy-four years of marriage on November 11, 2024, Erma Stoner of Landisville; six children, Donald, husband of Clara Stoner of Landisville, Jean, wife of Dale Hackman of Mount Pleasant, IA, Joyce, wife of Dale Ropp of Bemidji, MN, Dennis, husband of Karen Stoner of East Earl, Judy Stoner of Landisville, David, husband of Janice Stoner of Manheim; fifteen grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence B. and Roy B. Stoner.
Services for Titus will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Landisville Mennonite Church, 3320 Bowman Rd, Landisville, PA 17538. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Visitation will also be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 247 Main Street, Landisville, PA 17538. Burial will be private and he will be laid to rest at Landisville Mennonite Cemetery.
