Walter enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, going to the casinos and rooting for the Phillies and K.C Chiefs.

Funeral services will be held at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. Columbia PA 17512 on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may view from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Walter C. Hoak, 76 of Mountville, passed away on March 18, 2025 at Hospice and Community Care. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Gladys Frey Hoak.

A retired self-employed carpenter he was last employed at Wyeth Labs (GSK) Marietta where he was employed as a janitor. In his earlier years, Walter enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, going to the casinos and rooting for the Phillies and K.C Chiefs.

He is survived by his son, Shannon Hoak; daughter Sheri, wife of Bill Lamparter; two grandchildren, Erika & Ian; great-granddaughter, Destiny; siblings, Flo, wife of the late Don Bartch; Benjamin, husband of Ann Hoak; Milton Hoak, Jr. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Frederick Hoak.

Funeral services will be held at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. Columbia PA 17512 on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may view from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
