Margaret Lefever, 94, of Landisville, passed away on October 15, 2020 at Penn Medicine, LGH. She was the wife of late Donald H. Lefever to whom she was married for 60 years until his death in 2005. Born in Manor Township, she was the daughter of the late J. Clayton Charles, Sr. and Mary Rutt Charles.

Margaret worked in the clerical field for various area companies and assisted her husband in their business, Lefever Trucking Company. She was a member Mount Calvary Church, Elizabethtown. She was a longtime volunteer at Lancaster General Hospital and enjoyed gardening and art as her hobby.

She is survived by her daughter, Elnora, wife of John B. Stoner; two granddaughters, Donna, wife of Aaron Bartley; Angela, wife of Gamile Younger; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen R. Charles; Marion E. "Betty" Charles and her brother, J. Clayton, Jr., husband of Dorothy Charles. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald David Lefever and siblings, Robert Charles and Mary Catherine Charles.

A graveside service will be held at Riverview Burial Park, 1100 S. Duke St. Lancaster PA 17603 on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Joe Carter officiating. Patricia Ann Roye, 81, of Columbia passed away on October 18th, 2020. She was born in Wellsboro, PA to the late Benjamin and Evelyn Kurtz. Patricia attended Columbia High School and worked for more than thirty years at Peerless Hardware before her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed visiting the mountains of Tioga County with her family and fishing there. Patricia also enjoyed sewing and playing cards. She adored her family and loved the Lord.

Patricia leaves behind her husband of almost forty eight years, Charles M. Roye of Columbia; four children, Dennis Snyder of Columbia, Donna Snyder of Wrightsville, Mark Snyder of Illinois, Michael Roye of Brogue; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine May Kurtz.

In honor of Patricia’s final wishes, she is to be cremated with no formal services. Her ashes will be spread in the mountains of Tioga County at the convenience of her family. The Children of Dorothea Garner Reeves sorrowfully announce the passing of our dear Mother on Wednesday, 14 October 2020, at home, surrounded by her Pastor, Rev. Adrian Boxley, Sr., and family. Dorothea was born June 2, 1927 in Chester County to the late Horace & Mary Anderson Garner. She was married 60 years to Edward L. Reeves, who passed in 2007. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Horace, Homer, and Frederick.

Dorothea & Edward moved to Lancaster County in 1954, joining immediately the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, in Columbia, PA. She became the Minister of Music, Church Organist, Choir Director, Soloist and Deaconess Emeritus. Dorothea & Edward were former owners of the Marietta Citgo Gas Station located on Rt. 441, Marietta, PA. Her Subs and Bar-Be-Que Chicken were her specialty. She absolutely loved filling all the daily orders and seeing her patrons happy.

Dorothea leaves to mourn, as well as celebrate her life, 8 children: Shirley Hurdle (William), Sandra Duncan (Charles), Jacqueline Nixon (Ronald), Pamela Washington (Howard), Edward E., (Elizabeth), H. Michael, Eugene (Christina), and Theodore. Known as Nan Reeves, she loved to be in the presence of her 15 Grands, 14 Great-Grands, and 4 Great-Great-Grands. As a Matriarch of the Reeves Family Reunion, she was loved by her sister-in-love, Lucy Johnson Reeves, and many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Church Family.

Family & friends are invited to attend the viewing being held at the Clyde W. Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was the longtime owner and operator of Leahy Excavating.

In addition to Melissa, he is survived by his children, Kimberly, wife of Richard Budesheim; Jackie, husband of Rhonda Leahy; Tonya Leahy; Michael, husband of Jeanette Leahy; Patrick Leahy; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and seven brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by four siblings.

York - Dennis J. Watkins, 66, of York passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at York Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Regina (Markley) Watkins with whom he was married 34 years. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Paul and Catherine (Schott) Watkins.

Dennis retired from Quad Graphics where he worked in Warehouse Transportation. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Viet Nam Era. Nascar, music and his feline family held a special place in his heart. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid history buff. Denny was a member of the Susquehanna Fire & Rescue Company #4 (Hambones) and the National Rifle Association.

In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by a daughter, Brandy; sister, Cara Stoy; brother, Jeffrey Watkins; and grandchildren. Dennis was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Kroft and brothers, Paul and Kevin Watkins.

Gregory S. Vera, Sr., 73, of Columbia, passed away at home on Sunday, October 11, 2020. He was the husband of Carol Schoelkoph Vera with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage this past September 11th. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Donald and Arlene Vera Benedict.

He retired in 2009 after 46 years of service from ITT Grinnell Corporation where he was employed as a tow motor operator. In his younger days, he served as the Chief Engineer for the former Shawnee Fire Company and was a Charter member of the Shawnee Reservation Hunting Camp.

Greg was a true Susquehanna Riverman who spent as much time as he could at his riverside bungalow. He took great pride in both his home and bungalow. He could always be seen keeping busy. Greg had a great love for fishing and could tell great "fish" stories. Most important to him however was spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife are his children, Theresa, wife of Leo "Jim" Bowers; Gregory S. Vera, Jr.; Jennifer, wife of Daniel Wisotzkey; grandchildren, Rachael Bowers; Sgt. Ryan Vera; Bradyn Wisotzkey; Tegan Wisotzkey; brother, Scott, husband of Michelle Benedict and sister, Joni, wife of Donald Groom. His brother-in-law, Mark "Stanley" Albright preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Columbia Crossing River Trails Center, 41 Walnut St., Columbia, PA 17512 on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A time of remembrance and sharing will begin at 12noon. Feel free to dress casually wearing Penn State colors.

Charles Benjamin “Chuck” Corby of Mount Joy, passed away on Friday, October 9th, 2020 at Conestoga View Nursing Home after suffering from Parkinson’s Disease. He was born in Tunkhannock to the late Clarence and Agnes (Clark) Corby. A graduate of Tunkhannock High School, Chuck went on to earn an associate’s degree from Reading College and worked for Armstrong for 24 years and recently for Pfizer. Chuck loved horse racing, yard sales, playing bingo, and watching sports on t.v.

He is survived by his son Charles Corby, Jr., his son’s fiancé Lisa Riggleman, her son Matthew, and a niece, Agnes Kudrako. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth Corby.

Dorothy Shirley (McCrea) Drumm, age 86 of Alfred, NY passed away peacefully on Friday October 9, 2020. She was born to the late James D. McCrea and Della (Myers) McCrea in 1934 in Niagara Falls, NY.

She lived in the Alfred, NY area for most of her life moving to Durham, NC in 2014 and Lancaster, PA in 2017 where she lived with her daughter Karen and son-in-law Jim during her final 6 years.

Dorothy graduated from Alfred Almond Central School in 1952 and in her 50’s earned her degree from Alfred State College in Medical Transcription.  She was an active member of the Alfred Seventh Day Baptist Church and the Nutrition Center.  She was a friend to all and a jack of all trades. A few jobs she had that stick out in our minds are, cleaning homes and businesses, working in the deli/bakery at the Shurfine Grocery Store, working at the Alfred Sub Shop making pizza dough, driving a school bus for Alfred Almond Central School, cooking during the summers at Camp Harley Sutton, delivering for Meals on Wheels, and raising her three children: Roger, Crystal, and Karen.

Dorothy is survived by her brother, Donald McCrea (Pamela Cota McCrea) in Glendale, AZ, her three children, Roger Drumm (Christine Deming Drumm) in Kannapolis, NC, Crystal Drumm (Gary Freas) in Alfred Station, NY, and Karen Sipe (James Sipe) in Lancaster, PA, her 5 grandchildren, Jay Deming (Joshua Parker) in Kannapolis, NC, Brandon Drumm in Kannapolis, NC, Michael Mullen (Megan McGinty) in Redwood, NY, Eric Mullen in Tampa, FL, and Gary Clark in Alfred Station, NY. She was pre-deceased by mother Della (Myers) McCrea and father James McCrea formally from Ontario, Canada, sister Hazel Davenport (Russell Davenport) of Friendship, NY, sister Harriette McCrea of Rochester, NY, her ex-husband Glenn Drumm of Arkport, NY (she was the last of the Aunts on the Drumm side of the family) and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.

Craig Alan Arroyo, Jr., 29, of Marietta, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 7th, 2020. He was the cherished son of Craig, Sr. And Kimberly (Schell) Arroyo.  

Craig graduated from Donegal High School, class of 2009. He also attended the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center in Mount Joy, where his focus was on welding. Craig was known for being incredibly hard-working and was self-employed in the construction industry. He enjoyed many aspects of life, but most notably: visiting the mountains, hunting and fishing with his dad, skateboarding, and bike riding. He was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles football team. The most important thing in the world to Craig was his family. He loved them fiercely.   

In addition to his parents, Craig is survived by his brother, Christopher Schell, husband of Leah, of Newark, Delaware; his sisters, Tamra and Allaura Arroyo, of Marietta, PA; his nephew, Sylas Dailey; his maternal grandmother, Dawn Schell, of Sewell, New Jersey; his paternal grandmother, Lois Fletcher, of Columbia, PA; and his paternal grandfather, Andy Arroyo, of Florida. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Reverend Jack Schell.  

A service will be held in Craig’s honor on Tuesday, October 13th, 2020 at 11:30 AM at the Faith Outreach Center Assembly of God, 475 Anderson Ferry Road, Marietta, PA 17552. There will be a visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Pastor Andy Hoover will be officiating. Flowers will be accepted. Arrangements by Clyde W. Joseph F. Greenya, 66, of Columbia, PA passed away on Sunday, October 4th at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 31, 1953 in Columbia, PA to the late Millard and Mary (Paone) Greenya. Joe was the beloved husband of Sharon (Metzler Diller) Greenya and together celebrated 24 years of marriage this past June. Also surviving is a brother, Fred Greenya, husband of Evelyn, Columbia, PA and a sister, Maria Roselle, wife of Robert, Randlett, OK, 4 daughters: Susan Luttman, wife of Don, Columbia, PA, Laura Wise, wife of Mike, Strasburg, PA, Cindy Smucker, wife of Justin, Leola, PA and Meghan Glick, wife of Jay, Ronks, PA, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephew.

Joe graduated from Columbia High School in 1972. In 1973 he joined the Columbia Police Department part-time, which was the start of his long career with the department. Joe attended the State Police Academy and steadily moved up the ranks in the department from Patrolman to Sergeant, Detective Sergeant and then became Chief of Police in 1996 until his retirement from the Department in 2011. During his time with the Department Joe graduated from the FBINAA in 1985 and FBI LEEDA in 1996. Joe was very proud to serve as a police officer for the Columbia Borough.

Joe was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Columbia. He was a member of many organizations including PA Trustee for the National Fraternal Order of Police, FOP Red Rose Lodge 16, served as Past Treasurer, Member of the FBI National Academy Associates, Life Member of Columbia-Middletown Elks 1074, and served as Treasurer; Columbia Sunsnapper Organization, served as Past Treasurer; York County Meat Dealers Association, served as Treasurer; Wrightsville Social Club, served as Vice President; Mount Joy VFW Post 5752; Wrightsville Legion Post 469; Chickies Rock Moose Lodge 307; AmVets Post 19; Lancaster Liederkranz; Hambones Social Club; F & A M of Pennsylvania Lodge 286; Forresters of America; Marietta Beneficial Association; Life Member of Susquehanna Beneficial Association; Knights of Columbus; Columbia Fish and Game; and Columbia Fraternal Organization (Owls).

Joe was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he loved golfing, enjoyed his many trips to Myrtle Beach, and his involvement with the many organizations in which he was a member. Joe loved traveling with his wife, and went to many FBINAA re-trainers over the years, where he made many lifetime friends. Joe also enjoyed the many fishing trips with his late father-in-law. He loved spending time with his family and being the one who got to choose which grandkids got their Christmas gifts next by picking their names out of a hat.

Joe also enjoyed sharing a cupcake with his wife every evening from his favorite cupcake shop, Sweet Shenanigans Cupcakery. He was an avid Nascar fan, and enjoyed camping at the Dover Track. He attended many Final Four basketball championships with his friends, and as a teenager, served with the Columbia Number One Fire Company and Fire Police. Joe was a member of the Riverside Camping Association.

Joe was a friend to many, and always the life of the party. He was always the leader of the electric slide, sometimes seen singing duets with his buddies. His fun loving nature and ability to make people laugh will be missed by many.

Joe leaves behind a mighty legacy, and he will be missed by his wife, his family and his friends. A viewing will be held at FOP Red Rose Lodge #16, 917 South Prince Street Rear, Lancaster, PA on Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 1:00-4:00 PM. Please wear a mask. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 2nd and Union Streets, Columbia, PA at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Father Anthony Swamy as Celebrant. There will be no additional viewing on Monday. Final Commendation and Farewell will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.

Glenn F. Woods, 88, of Kinderhook, West Hempfield Township, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Joann Schlossman Woods with whom he was married 65 years. Born in Duncannon PA, he was the son of the late Walter J. and Blanche V. (Gambler) Woods.

He retired after many years of service from the ITT Grinnell Corporation where he was employed as a molder. Following his retirement, he worked for the Donegal School District in the custodial department. Glenn was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Columbia and was a lifetime member of the L.O.O.M. Lodge 307 and the B.P.O E # 1074 both in Columbia.

In addition to his wife are his brothers, Harry (Joyce) Woods; Fred (Peggy) Woods; sister, Nell Royer and many nieces and nephews. His brothers, June and Neil Woods and sister, Blanche Wimer preceded him in death.

Eckhard K. Schulz, 68, of East Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Maureen McCaffrey Schulz with whom he was married 22 years. Born in Bielefeld, West Germany, he was the son of the late Bruno and Ursula Faulwetter Schulz.

Better known to family and friends as "Eck," he graduated from Dover Area High School, Class of 1970 and Lehigh University in 1974 where he received his Bachelors Degree in Finance. He was employed for many years in his family's business, Atlas Manufacturing and retired in 2014 from Stewart – Amos Steel, Inc. in Harrisburg where he was employed as general manager.

Eck was an avid reader of crime fiction and had an impressive collection of first editions. He enjoyed family vacations and traveling. Eck was a Philadelphia Eagles fan, a master of political debates, and a bourbon connoisseur.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lucy S. Schulz, of Columbia PA.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Clyde Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. Columbia PA 17512.

Bulah O. Dougherty, 87, of Woodcrest Villa, formerly of Landisville, passed away on October 1, 2020 at Penn Medicine LGH. She was the wife of the late Kenneth H. "Doc" Dougherty with whom she was married 56 years until his death in 2009. Born in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James and Berdie Oliver.

A graduate of Solanco High School and Lancaster Bible College, she was employed as a secretary for various companies including UGI where she met her future husband, Penn Mutual Insurance Company, and the Church of God of Landisville.

Bulah was an active and devoted member of the Church of God in Landisville, serving in many capacities and committees including the Bible Quiz Team. Alongside her late husband Doc, she enjoyed traveling which included touring all 50 states, the Holy Lands, Europe and Iceland, as well as cruising the islands. She also liked to bowl.

She is survived by her sons, Randall Dougherty; Richard Dougherty; grandsons, Eric, Justin (Bethany), Trevor, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Carson; sisters, Shirley Ackerman and Louise, wife of Hanson Poole. Her siblings Billie Oliver and Lucille Slaymaker preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held from the Church of God of Landisville, 171 Church St., Landisville, PA 17538 on Tuesday, OCTOBER 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Bistline, officiating. Interment will be private in Landisville Mennonite Cemetery prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of God of Landisville or to the American Cancer Society.

Miriam was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who adored her family and treasured spending time with them.

Miriam H. Freeland, 92, of Columbia passed away on September, 26th, 2020. She was born in Columbia to the late Abraham and Elizabeth Huber and was a lifetime and active resident of Columbia. Miriam was a graduate of Columbia High School with the Class of 1945 and worked for many years as a sewer with Columbia Garment Factory. Never one to drive, she would walk everywhere; even up to her final days. Miriam was very giving and enjoyed baking and giving away the food that she created, especially her mints. She also volunteered every Wednesday at The Columbia Food Bank. Miriam liked to travel and had visited several destinations across the country with her family and the ITT Grinnell Retirement Club. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who adored her family and treasured spending time with them. Miriam was a lifelong and faithful member of Columbia United Methodist Church.

Miriam leaves behind her daughter, Lee Ann, wife of Patrick Kinsley of Elizabethtown; her beloved granddaughter, Kelly Kinsley of Elizabethtown; several nieces and nephews and large extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William Freeland in 2012 and also six siblings.

Miriam’s public visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11th, 2020 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St, Columbia, PA 17512. Gertrude “Trudy” Schoenenberger Eisenberger

Trudy, 92, of Columbia, passed on to Heaven on September 25th, 2020.  Trudy is survived by a son Mark A. Eisenberger and his wife Dyan of Columbia, and a daughter Beth A. Rohrer, and her husband Dudley G. Rohrer of Manheim. Trudy was born in Columbia and graduated from Columbia High School with the Class of 1945. She was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Mountville.

She adored her family and treasured spending time with them at family get-togethers. Trudy loved her four grandchildren Amy Bailey, Audrey Gerold, Geoffrey Rohrer with wife Katlyn (Gerlach) and Johanna Rohrer. The six great- grandchildren, Jimi Griffith, Aliya Gerold, Brooke and Jack Bailey, Kora and Karalyn Rohrer brought her much joy and laughter!

Trudy loved and was loved by many friends and extended family. Her joyous nature affected everyone she knew. She liked to travel, square dance, and play the organ. She sang in the church choir and held tea parties for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to express our sincere thanks to all her caregivers, volunteers, friends and family who cared for her over the past six years during her health issues and decline. You are appreciated.

She was predeceased by her son, Michael W. Eisenberger as well as her husbands, Abram L. Eisenberger and George Ansalvich, and her parents Rudolf Earnest and Therese and brother, Earnest Schoenenberger.

A private graveside service will be held at the discretion of the family.

Celebration of life: Monday, September 28th, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home (Columbia)

Grace Elizabeth Bish (Gainer) passed away at home on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the ripe old age of 92. She was a feisty fighter until the end and ultimately succumbed after a long battle with heart disease and dementia.

She was the mother of 9, yes NINE, children and leaves behind five of them: George, Patricia, Tina, David and Barbara. From her children, she was blessed with a plethora of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren – so many that we lost count (she even has another great-great grandchild on the way but shhh you didn’t hear it here!)

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Bish Sr. and sons Charles Jr. (Butch), Dennis Michael (Mike), Glen and Daryl.

Grace was a spit fire of a woman who had a knack for telling people exactly how she felt – often with colorful language and a few “choice” words. She also kept her spunky attitude ‘til the end - as many a male nurse at LGH could tell you! ;)

Grace worked as a laborer at Grinnell for many years and retired in the 80s. Although she was no longer working, she busied herself with helping to babysit and take care of many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a very active member of the Women of the Moose and achieved the honor of becoming a member of the College of Regents. Grace volunteered at the nursing home and helped with managing weekly Bingo at the Moose. She also loved to travel and often signed up for bus trips and ceremonies associated with the Moose which gave her the opportunity to travel all around the country – some of the most notable trips she enjoyed were to the Finger Lakes in New York, Las Vegas and New Orleans. Although, even the local bus trips to the beach or other Moose lodges in PA brought her joy. She was lucky to have made lifelong friendships with other Women of the Moose as well. 

A celebration of Grace’s life will be held in her honor at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St, Columbia, PA 17512 on Monday, September 28th, 2020. Family and Friends are invited to attend the viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. If attending, please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Grace will then be interred beside her beloved husband at Silver Spring Cemetery. Barbara Ann Dupree Warrick, 84, of West Hempfield Township, departed this earthly life on September 21, 2020. Born in Greensboro, N.C., to the late Jasper and Wenona Byrd Dupree, she served as a pastor’s wife, pianist and choir leader in the Silver Spring community for a number of years, capping a life of service in churches in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Raised and educated in Angier, N.C., Barbara was recognized early for her musical gifts, especially her voice, a lyric soprano of exceptional clarity and operatic range. Urged by teachers to pursue professional training, she instead answered to a different calling. After attending Campbell College, she met and married Eugene S. Warrick, who would soon embark on a career as a Baptist minister. The couple shepherded a number of churches across North Carolina, with Eugene serving as pastor while Barbara directed music, led the choir, played piano and frequently performed as a soloist. They were called to the Silver Spring Baptist Church in 1973 and ministered there for five years, departing the area after helping break ground for the new sanctuary the congregation now occupies on Marietta Pike in West Hempfield Township. The couple returned to Lancaster County after Eugene’s retirement.

Barbara was preceded in death by Eugene, her devoted husband of 59 years who passed away in 2015. She is survived by her brother, Billy Dupree, and his wife, Grace, of Angier, N.C.; her daughter, Gena Warrick Fisher, wife of Ed Fisher, of West Hempfield Township; and her son, Joby Warrick, husband of Maryanne Jordan Warrick, of Centreville. Va. She was a loving grandmother to Brant Fisher, of Moon Township, Pa.; Erin Fisher Josephian of Marietta, Pa., Victoria Warrick, of Mamaroneck, NY; and Andrew Warrick, of Gainesville, Va.; and a doting great-grandmother to Luella Fisher and Ryker Josephian.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27, at Silver Spring Baptist Church, 4001 Marietta Ave, Silver Spring, Pa. Family visitation will take place at the church an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Silver Spring Baptist Church would be gratefully accepted. Joanne Y. Zink (Shultz), 85, of Columbia, passed away at home on September 20, 2020. She was the widow of her loving husband, Elmer Zink, her “Honey Bunny,” who passed away in December 2018. They were married for 66 years.

Born in Columbia, Joanne was the daughter of Abram A and Mary E. (Bink) Shultz. 

Joanne was an active member of the Columbia United Methodist Church, where she sang in the Church Choir and was a member of United Methodist Women.

Joanne was a wonderful mother who loved animals, and especially her beloved cat, Chloe.  She was the former luncheonette manager at Woolworth’s, Columbia, for several years after which she was a nurse at Columbia Hospital for about 20 years.  She was a member of AARP Centerville Travel Group and enjoyed touring around the country.  Surviving, are her children, a son, Elmer Zink, of Columbia; two daughters, Brenda Kay Lofquist, wife of Gene, of Deerwood, MN; and Melody Ann Collier, Columbia; nine grandchildren, Michael Zink; Joshua Zink; Stephanie Pettit, Benjamin Zink, Jonathan Zink, Jason Quinn, Eric Quinn, David Zink, and Anthony Collier: and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Lou Zink; her parents; and a brother, Leroy Shultz.

Funeral services will be at the Columbia United Methodist Church, 510 Walnut St., Columbia PA 17512 on Friday, September 25, 2020 promptly at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Grubbs, officiating. Thomas “Tom” S. Seifried, 69, of Elizabethtown formally from State College Pa, passed away the morning of Friday September 18,2020, he is survived by his wife Barbara Ann Seifried (Mathias). Tom was the son of the late Walter “Steve” G. and Mary Seifried.

He retired in 2010 after 42 years of service with Armstrong World Industries; where he last worked as Plant Manager for the Beechcreek Plant in Beechcreek, Pennsylvania. A veteran of the Pennsylvania National Guard, Tom was an active golfer, who could be regularly found at the Penn State Golf Courses over many weekday mornings for several years. Tom was also a member of the Bear Paw Rod & Gun Club located in Driftwood, PA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well on the Susquehanna River and other locales.

 Tom is survived by his children Dr. Chad S. Seifried, of Baton Rouge, LA; and Thomas M. Seifried, of Dubois, PA, along with his wife Emily and their two children, Jameson and Jacob. Also surviving is his brother  Steve husband of Nancy Seifried (Columbia, PA), Christina Seifried Morrison (Manahawkin, NJ), and Frances wife of John Wagner (Beaufort, SC).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Trinity Catholic Church 4th & Cherry Streets Columbia, PA. on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 10:00AM with Rev. Fr. Stephen Kelley as Celebrant.  A public Viewing will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. Columbia, PA on Thursday Evening, September 24, 2020 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM. Roger L. Mellott, 66, of Ephrata, passed away on September 14, 2020 at Wellspan, Ephrata. He was the husband of the late Lois Kling Mellott who preceded him in death in 2007. Born in Indiana, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence and Dorothy Burkey Mellott.

Roger graduated from Cocalico High School, Class of 1972 and proudly served his country in the U.S.M.C. in the Vietnam War. He retired in 2012 from the Bob Evans Restaurant in Hershey.

He was a member of the Ephrata Community Church and the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1008. Roger enjoyed cooking, gardening, and loved the Christmas Holidays.

He is survived by a step daughter, Mellissa L. Melendez; brother Ralph E., husband of Pamela Mellott; sister Mildred A. Perdue and his niece, Crystal R. Statler also survives. His sister Cynthia J. Statler, preceded him in death in 2006.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Habecker Mennonite Cemetery, 451 Habecker Road, Lancaster PA 17603 with Pastor Dennis Scalese, officiating.
