Nancy Kay Persing, 77, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Lancaster General Hospital. She was married for 28 years to the late Fred L. Bender, Sr. and the companion of S. Eugene Kulp until his death in 2017. Born in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Melba Shade Persing.
Nancy graduated in 1959 from the Lewistown High School and the South Dakota University with a degree in food service which she worked in for many years before retiring in 1996.
She was a member of the Milton Grove United Methodist Church and enjoyed camping, traveling, gospel music, the mountains, driving, going to the beach, shopping and spending time with her family and grandchildren and her rescue dog, Tori.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa, wife of William O'Connor; Sheri, wife of Brian DeArmitt; Lorrie, wife of Rodney Groff; son, Fred L. Jr. husband of Kathy Bender; Ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survives.
Funeral services will be held at the Milton Grove U.M. Church, 2026 Cloverleaf Road, Mount Joy PA 17552 Friday, July 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jamie Pietsch, officiating. Friends may view at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown PA.
