Jared will always be remembered for his incredible artistic skills, his passion for music and natural talent for playing guitar, and his gentle love for animals of all kinds, especially his favorite rescue dog, Benny.
Family and friends are invited to attend services on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut Street, Columbia, PA with the Rev. Mark S. Kopp officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Jared G. Marcello, 35, of Columbia, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 7, 2024. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Gregory L. Marcello and the late Stacey L. (Cover) Marcello.
Jared attended Columbia Jr./Sr. High School. Over the years, he was employed as a painter with several companies including Scotty's Painting and Two Dudes Painting. In his younger years, he was an avid skateboarder and BMX biker. Jared will always be remembered for his incredible artistic skills, his passion for music and natural talent for playing guitar, and his gentle love for animals of all kinds, especially his favorite rescue dog, Benny. He also enjoyed spending time exploring the outdoors, hiking, paddle-boarding, riding four-wheeler, and playing yard games with his family.
In addition to his father, Jared is survived by his sisters, Nicole L. Marcello of Lancaster and Jennifer L. Marcello of Reading. He also leaves behind his two young daughters who he adored and cherished so deeply, Hallie and Maddie Marcello.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Jared's love for animals can be made to an animal shelter or rescue organization of your choosing. His family recommends the Columbia Animal Shelter or local SPCA centers.
