It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara A. Mann, 80, who went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 9, 2024. Barbara was born in Lancaster to the late Wilson and Emma Tangert Coulson and was a lifelong resident of this area. She was the loving wife of 55 years to the late G. Robert “Bob” Mann.

Barbara was a 1961 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. After graduating, she worked in several roles, including as a saleswoman at the Choo Choo Barn, Willow Valley Grocery, and Costco. Her warmth and kindness allowed her to excel in each of her professional roles. Barbara also ran several small businesses with her husband and children, including a jewelry stand, a deli, and The Lollipop Tree, a candy shop at the Meadowbrook Farmer’s Market in Leola, PA.

Barbara had many hobbies and interests. She had an impressive collection of teddy bears and enjoyed bowling in her younger years. Barbara also loved to travel with her husband, Bob. Together, they took many cross-country road trips and were known to travel several hours for their favorite ice cream.

Most importantly, Barbara was the epitome of unconditional love. No matter what, she made sure those close to her knew that they would always have a place in her heart and in her home. As we mourn the loss of Barbara, we also look to her example to carry on the love she so selflessly exhibited throughout her life.

Barbara leaves behind her children, Kirk Wood (Mary), Michael Wood, Holly Wood (Mike Brown), and Wendy Scheuerman (Tony); grandchildren, Heather, Timothy, Kristine, Thomas, Shannon, Anthony, and Victoria (Elijah); 17 great-grandchildren with one on the way; her niece, Joan Novack (Nelson); and her sister, Charlene Coyle (Larry). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G. Robert “Bob” Mann, on April 6, 2024.
