Services: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St, Columbia, PA 17512.
The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Burial will follow and she will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Habecker Mennonite Cemetery.
Madeline L. Brown, 86, of Columbia passed away on June 7, 2024. She was born in Columbia to the late Harry Sheckart and Helen Sheckart Hess and was a lifelong resident of Columbia.
Madeline was a graduate of Columbia High School with the Class of 1955. She worked with the former Wyeth Labs as an administrative assistant until her retirement. Madeline enjoyed flea markets and had her own business Maggie’s Dolls. She was loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who adored her family and treasured spending time with them.
Madeline leaves behind four children, Julie, wife of the late Mark Kaufman of Lancaster, Diane, wife of Ed Bernard of Simi Valley, CA, Robin Brown-Bayman of Columbia, Tom, husband of Diana Brown of Maytown; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brown in 2012; her son, Jeff McMillen; a grandson, Ryan Lockard; three siblings, Betty Goda, Dorothy Deverter, and Harold Sheckart.
Services for Madeline will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, 519 Walnut St, Columbia, PA 17512.
